The
basic concept of cellular phones began in 1947, a type of wireless
communication that is most familiar to mobile phones users. It was still
huge and bulky before years of evolutions until it became the size of a
palm.
Cellular
phones which is also known as mobile phones have been very usefull for
many of us in a way or another. Today, there are already so many mobile
phones suppliers such as Nokia, Sony Erricson, Samsung, LG, Siemens,
etc. Mobile phones are becoming more than just a phone, as technology is
improving rapidly, new and newer features are available in the phones.
These features includes radio, camera, music and video player, 3G, wifi,
internet, GPS (Global Positioning System), bluetooth, games, etc.
The
enormous increased in the use of wireless mobile telephony improved
communication purpose for business and social status, it resulted in an
increased number of customers. Businesses were able to order supplies
over the phone, helping them to save time and traveling money. The
supplier networks expanded without being limited by physical distances,
because deals where now made over the phone. More time became available
to help customers. It has enabled businesses to respond to customer
demands, as providing good service has become a competitive advantage
when physical distance is no longer so important. Communications are of
high value to society and bring positive effects to economic growth.
However,
mobile phones also have negative effects on us. Mobile phone radiation
and health concerns have been raised, the exposure of electromagnetic
radiation that is emitted by mobile phones is believed to be harmful to
human health. It has been claimed that the signals emitted from the
mobile phone influences the brain (e.g. headaches). Cellular phone
talking while driving leads to a reaction time.
Exposed
radiations while talking in mobile phones should give little harm. If
mobile phones were very damaging, we would see a lot of brain injury
problems already. Saying that, I believe that just as in everything
else, a balanced use of mobile phone is appropriate.
